For each type of data the possible options are:
- Never: the data is not updated automatically.
- WiFi: the update is done only when the device is connected to a Wi-Fi network.
- Always: the update is done with any type of data connection (even cellular connection).
NOTE: with this options you can have extra costs depending on your mobile contract.
The update of the Map data is done even if the app is not in foreground.
NOTE: there is a different behaviour between iOS and Android. With iOS it is necessary that the app is in background for the updates to happen, whereas this is not necessary in Android. This means that, on iOS devices, if you switch off (and then on) the device, the updates will not happen (app are not automatically relaunched by iOS). Under this condition you need to manually launch the app and then close it (in this way it is in background).
